i was too boring.. so i checked mail ... so hai xin really did send mail at the right time... haha .. tis is 1 interesting 1 ... just to share.. lolz ... since i m not tat kind to send emails all around ro every1 ... :P

因为老家离大学很远，为了方便上学，John和另一个同学合资在大学附近租了一套房子。

　　有一天，John 邀请妈妈来吃晚饭。饭桌上，妈妈一再注意到与 John 同住的女室友 Mary非常漂亮， 而且觉得二人的眼神交流也非比寻常，她十分怀疑两人的关系是否真的仅限于室友。

　　John也发现了妈妈有想法了，于是主动跟妈妈说明∶“我知道你在想什么，不过我可以向 你保证，Mary 和我是纯粹的室友，绝对没别的。”

　　一个星期后，Mary 跑来跟 John说∶“自从你妈妈来吃过晚饭之后，我就一直找不到我那把纯银的汤匙，你觉得会不会是她拿走了？”

　　John说:“我不知道呀！不过别担心，让我来处理这件事吧。” 之后他写了一封信给他妈妈：

　　亲爱的妈妈，我不会说您“拿”了一把纯银汤匙， 我也不会说您“没拿”了一把纯银汤匙， 不过有一件事情大家都注意到了，就是自从您在这里吃了晚饭之后，有一样东西不见了。

　　 爱你的，John

　　几天后,他*的回信来了：

　　亲爱的儿子， 我不会说你和 Mary “睡”在一起，我也不会说你和 Mary “没睡”在一起，不过有一件事情大家都注意到了，那就是如果她的确是睡在自己床上的话， 她早就会发现那把纯银汤匙了。
